2025-2026 Student Advisory Council Application Form

Please complete the form below to apply to the Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History's Student Advisory Council. You will be notified via email if your application is selected.

As a part of the application, we ask you to list two faculty contacts. You may choose any adults at your school who can speak to your passion for history and your academic strengths. We recommend contacting these faculty members ahead of time to share your intent to apply and to ask for permission to list them as contacts. Faculty contacts are not required to write a recommendation letter. However, we may reach out to them if we need additional information about your qualifications for the council, or for additional nominations of students to the council as needed.
